The opening salvo in Hallmark Channel’s annual barrage of Christmas programming scored a pretty good-sized audience Saturday.

The movie “Marry Me at Christmas” (premiering three days before Halloween) drew the day’s biggest audience on cable with 3.37 million viewers. It also tied for second among adults 18-49 with a 0.5.

ESPN’s college football ratings were on the low side with the marquee games airing on broadcast networks. The top-rated one was the afternoon contest between Wisconsin and Illinois (0.5, 1.93 million viewers. “College GameDay” had the day’s best 18-49 rating among originals at 0.6.
