It was a relatively busy night in the Saturday cable ratings last week.
ESPN scored four out of the top 5 spots of the night with its college football coverage. The network’s college game day coverage led with a 0.7 rating in adults 18-49, followed by its broadcasts of the Ole Miss vs Texas Tech and BYU vs Arizona games, which scored 0.6 and 0.5 ratings with 1.93 and 1.29 million viewers.
Fox Sports’ broadcast of the Texas vs Maryland game rounded out the top 4 of the night with a 0.4 of its own. Elsewhere, CNN’s coverage of the John McCain funeral grabbed several of the night’s top spots with multiple 0.3s in the 18-49 demo.
On HBO, the premiere broadcast of “Ferdinand” landed fairly high in the chart as well with a 0.3 and 790,000 viewers.
