The season premiere of E!’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” led the Sunday cable ratings with a 0.6 rating in adults 18-49, down a tenth from last year’s premiere. ESPN’s broadcast of the Red Sox vs Yankees MLB game followed closely behind with a 0.6 as well, while AMC’s special preview of “Walking Dead” season 9 scored a 0.4.
Starz’s “Power” ticked back up one-tenth from a 0.5 to a 0.6, and TNT’s “Claws” was steady with another 0.4. On Bravo, “The Real Housewives of Potomac” (0.3) was similarly even with its previous episode. After hitting a series low last week, HBO’s “Sharp Objects” ticked back up two-tenths from a 0.2 to a 0.4 with 1.17 million viewers this time around – its second highest-rated episode to date, just behind the 0.5 its series premiere.
It was a solid week for AMC’s “Preacher” too, which climbed up to a 0.3 in adults 18-49 with 879,000 viewers, a season high in both measures. Outside of the top 25, HBO’s “Succession” closed out its first season by hitting its own series high, ticking up one-tenth from a 0.1 to a 0.2 with 730,000 viewers.
