Sunday cable ratings: ‘Billions’ premieres steady, ‘Walking Dead’ ticks back down

Predictably, AMC’s “The Walking Dead” led the Sunday cable ratings yet again, despite ticking back down from its previous 1.8 to a 1.7 rating in adults 18-49. “Talking Dead” similarly fell two-tenths to a 0.5, while Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” held onto the night’s no. 2 spot, and maintained a 0.8.

ESPN’s broadcast of the NCAA SEC Tournament title game between Auburn and Tennessee rounded out the night’s top 3 with a 0.6 and 2.24 million viewers. Additionally, the Discovery Channel’s “Naked and Afraid” rebounded from its 0.4 the previous week with back-to-back 0.5s.

Outside of the top 25, the season 4 premiere of Showtime’s “Billions” raked in a 0.2 with 843,000 viewers, steady with its third season’s 0.2 and 875,000 viewer averages. Meanwhile, Starz’s “American Gods” slipped from its season premiere’s 0.2 to a 0.1, and HBO’s “The Case Against Adnan Syed” stayed even with another 0.2.
