Final broadcast primetime live + same-day ratings for Sunday, September 23, 2018

FOX’s “9-1-1” season 2 premiere adjusted up from Sunday’s early adults 18-49 ratings in the finals today, to even more impressive numbers.

“9-1-1” rose from its initial 2.3 to a 2.6 in the demo, while CBS’ final Sunday night “Big Brother” broadcast of the season ticked up one-tenth to a 1.4. On NBC, both “Football Night in America” (2.2) and its “Sunday Night Football” broadcast (6.4) adjusted up from their initial ratings.

Elsewhere, FOX’s “The OT” adjusted up to a 3.7, but its late-afternoon NFL overrun (4.9) ticked down, as did NBC’s “SNF Pregame” (4.1) and CBS’ “60 Minutes” (1.0). “Family Guy” (0.8), “NCIS: Los Angeles” (0.4), and “REL” (0.5) all adjusted down as well.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings are available at approximately 11 a.m. ET the day after telecast. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.

Time Shifted Viewing:
 Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include  viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
