The NFL Preseason continued its run atop the Thursday cable ratings.
The top performance of the night came from the Oakland Raiders playing the Arizona Cardinals on ESPN for a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49. This was much stronger than the 0.5 of last week’s top game, when the Jets played the Giants on the NFL Network, and kept it far above the fray of the other shows. Meanwhile, “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” on MTV ticked up from 0.4 to 0.5, and “SportsCenter Late” grabbed another 0.5 for ESPN to round out the top 3.
Elsewhere, “Dr. Pimple Popper” slipped on TLC, crumbling from 0.4 to 0.3. On History, “Alone” rose from 0.2 to 0.3, while “Flip or Flop” on HGTV fell apart and lost one-tenth of a point down to 0.3. MTV’s “Ex on the Beach” posted a 0.3, as well, keeping with the repeat performance of USA’s “Queen of the South.” Both “Impractical Jokers” on TRUTV and “Mountain Men” on History upgraded from 0.2 to 0.3, as did “House Hunters” on HGTV.
A little further down, WETV’s “Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” continued at 0.2, finding itself in the company of “Beat Bobby Flay,” which shrunk from 0.3 to 0.2 on Food Network. TLC’s “Untold Stories of the E.R.” also fell from 0.3 to 0.2, as did “Million Dollar Listing” on Bravo. Food Network’s “Chopped” and HGTV’s “House Hunters International,” on the other hand, each remained at 0.2.
