A pair of season premieres led the Thursday cable ratings.

The season 3 premiere of TLC’s “Dr. Pimple Popper” grabbed the night’s top spot with a 0.7 rating in adults 18-49 – down one-tenth from the 0.7 that its season 2 finale scored back in March. Similarly, MTV’s “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” kicked off its third season a little bit down from how it performed last year.

The 2-part “Family Vacation” premiere came second and third in the night with back-to-back 0.6 ratings, also down from the 0.7s that the final episodes of its second season scored. Elsewhere, Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New York City” returned from a week off with the same 0.4 as its last episode.

Meanwhile, USA’s “Queen of the South” managed to tick back up from a 0.2 to a 0.3, and ESPN’s broadcast of the Houston vs. Texas MLB game raked in a 0.3 with 1.2 million viewers.
