Final broadcast primetime live + same-day ratings for Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017

Amid a bunch of downward adjustments owing mostly to NFL preseason pre-emptions, “Big Brother” had its adults 18-49 ratings rise from Thursday’s early numbers to the finals. It ticked up a tenth of a point to a season-high 2.1.

All of NBC’s shows came down after factoring out the local NFL broadcasts. “The Wall” (0.9) and “SNL: Weekend Update” (1.2) each adjusted down three tenths, and “The Night Shift” (0.6) came down two tenths. “Weekend Update” is even with last week, and “The Wall” and “The Night Shift” are both up week to week.

ABC’s “Boy Band” (0.5), FOX’s “Beat Shazam” (0.7) and The CW’s “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” (0.3) all adjusted down a tenth.

Upward adjustments in adults 18-49 are in blue; downward adjustments are in red.

Time Shifted Viewing:
 Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include  viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
