Final broadcast primetime live + same-day ratings for Thursday, June 7, 2018
Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals adjusted up in the ratings from Thursday’s early numbers after accounting for the live broadcast. NBC’s coverage finishes with 6.59 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in adults 18-49 (up from a preliminary 1.9).
NBC’s total audience of 6.71 million people (including 124,000 who streamed the game) was the biggest for a Game 5 of the series since 2002.
The only other change in the 18-49 ratings was a 0.1 downward adjustment for CBS’ “Young Sheldon” rerun.

Time Shifted Viewing: Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
