It was another night of mostly reruns and holiday specials in the primetime ratings Friday night.
ABC led the night with its holiday broadcast of “I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown!,” which scored a 0.7 rating in adults 18-49. It was the network’s highest-rated broadcast of the special in five years, while reruns of “The Great Christmas Light Fight” (0.5) and “20/20” (0.5) rounded out the night for ABC.
Elsewhere, the CW’s “Dynasty” returned from a week off with a 0.1, down a tenth from its previous episode. On NBC, the recently-canceled “Midnight, Texas” held steady with another 0.4, while CBS’ broadcast of the 20th annual “Home for the Holidays” special raked in a 0.5 with 3.47 million viewers. The rest of the night’s broadcasts were repeats.
