It was a night of upticks and drops in the Friday primetime ratings this week.
CBS’ “MacGyver” won the 8 p.m. hour with a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49, up one-tenth from the 0.7 final it had scored last Friday. “Hawaii Five-O” went the other way, similarly winning its hour, but falling from a 0.9 to a 0.8 this week. A “Blue Bloods” rerun rounded out the night for the network with a 0.6.
Elsewhere, ABC’s “Fresh Off the Boat” managed to maintain a 0.7 for the third episode in a row, while “Speechless” ticked up a tenth from a 0.5 to a 0.6, tying its season high in the demo. It was followed by another 2-hour installment of “20/20,” which rose two-tenths to a 0.8 this time around.
It was a steady night for NBC, as both “Blindspot” (0.6) and “The Blacklist” (0.6) matched their episodes from a week ago. Meanwhile, FOX’s Friday night comedies took the night off, but a new “Hell’s Kitchen” aired at 9 p.m. and scored a 0.7, down a tenth week-to-week.
On the CW, “Dynasty” returned with a 0.2, up a tenth from its last episode, as was “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” (0.2).

Time Shifted Viewing: Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
