The quiet holding pattern of the Friday primetime ratings remained in place this week.
NBC narrowly pulled off the strongest broadcast average of the night, beginning with a rerun of “American Ninja Warrior.” The competitive series drew in 2.99 million viewers, scoring a 0.6 rating in adults 18-49. This compared favorably against the 0.5 it garnered last week, with 2.41 million viewers. Following on its tail was a new episode of “Dateline” at 0.6 with 3.26 million viewers, matching its previous rating and posting the best performance of the night.
ABC’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” remained a constant 0.4 force at 8 p.m., clinging to the same score for the third week in a row. It then led into a two-hour showing of “20/20” at 0.5, which was able to match the rating it fell to a week ago.
FOX and CBS each had an innocuous night. Reruns of “First Responders Live” and “MasterChef” made up FOX’s airtime, posting a 0.4 and a 0.3 respectively. CBS also dealt a hand of rebroadcasts, with “Hawaii Five-O” grabbing a 0.3 and “Blue Bloods” picking up a 0.4. The network’s sole new broadcast of the night was “Whistleblower,” which held the line with yet another 0.3.
To close out the night, the CW aired a new episode of “Masters of Illusion” at 0.2 and “The Big Stage” at 0.1. Both were matches with their previous scores.

Late-night metered market ratings to come.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings are available at approximately 11 a.m. ET the day after telecast. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time.
Time Shifted Viewing: Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
