This week, it was ABC that won the Friday broadcast ratings.
The network’s opening bid came from “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” with a 0.5 rating in adults 18-49, matching the score it rose to last week and attracting 2.44 million viewers. “S.H.I.E.L.D.” was then followed by the strongest overall performance of the night, with a two-hour “20/20” at 0.6. This was up from the 0.5 the investigative journalism series scored last week.
FOX managed to take second place in the 18-49 ratings despite a night of reruns, with “Beat Shazam” at 0.5 and “MasterChef” at 0.4. CBS, on the other hand, did outmatch FOX in terms of millions of viewers, airing reruns of “Hawaii Five-O” and “Blue Bloods” each at 0.4. The network’s sole new broadcast of the night came from “Whistleblower,” which dipped from the 0.5 it premiered at to 0.4.
On NBC, “Blindspot” concluded its season with two new episodes, the first at 0.4, the second at 0.3. The drama grabbed a 0.4 last week, after returning from a four-week hiatus, and altogether this was down from the 0.5 scored by the finale of season 3. Following “Blindspot” was “Dateline” at 0.5, down one-tenth of a point from last Friday’s 0.6.
The CW had an unusually strong night, starting with “Masters of Illusion 21st Anniversary Special,” which grabbed a 0.3 with 1.50 million viewers. “Whose Line is it Anyway?” followed on the magic special’s tail, picking up a 0.3 despite being a rerun.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings are available at approximately 11 a.m. ET the day after telecast. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time.
Time Shifted Viewing: Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
