Its season 2 finale saw “The Good Doctor” rise to season highs as well, as the medical drama climbed up from a 1.1 to a 1.4 with 7.77 million viewers. Combined, “The Bachelor” and “Good Doctor” gave ABC the night’s overall no. 1 spot, beating the other networks in 18-49.

NBC’s “The Voice” was the night’s second-highest-rated broadcast with a 2.0, down just a tenth from its 2.1 last Monday, but did win the night in total viewers with 10.40 million. Meanwhile, its lead-out, “The Enemy Within,” ticked up from a 0.9 to a 1.0.

Elsewhere, the CW’s “Arrow” managed to rebound from its low 0.2 a week ago, back up to a 0.3 this time around, while “Black Lightning” stayed even with another 0.2. On CBS, “The Neighborhood” returned from a week off with a 1.0, down from its last episode’s 1.2. “Man with a Plan,” however, matched its previous 0.7, as did “Magnum P.I.” (0.7).

FOX’s “The Passage” wrapped up its first season with a special 2-part finale, and fell to a series low 0.7 in its second hour, down from the 0.9 it had scored last week.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings are available at approximately 11 a.m. ET the day after telecast. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.
Share (of Audience):
The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time.
Time Shifted Viewing:
Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include  viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

[…] Ratings are in from Monday night and Colton’s finale did really well: 8.0 million viewers and a 2.2 rating, both season highs. In comparison, Arie’s Monday finale did 7.8 million and a 2.2 rating. And how many people screamed from the rooftops when Colton was named the “Bachelor” that they weren’t watching? That’s what I thought. It’s such a tired take, just like it will be for all the people that hate Hannah as the “Bachelorette.” No one cares you don’t like her because millions of people will still watch. And you probably will as well because you want to be informed in the conversation. More on Hannah in a bit… […]
