ABC’s “American Idol” may have kept a steady lead in the Sunday primetime ratings last week, but its Monday time-period premiere failed to take the no. 1 spot in the night’s primetime ratings this week.

With its first Monday broadcast of the season, “Idol” scored a series low 1.1 rating in adults 18-49 with 6.05 million viewers, considerably lower any of its Monday night ratings last season. It was followed by the series premiere of “The Fix,” which came in last place in the 10 p.m. hour with a low 0.7 and 4.37 million viewers.

NBC’s “The Voice” took a noticeable hit week-to-week, falling from the 2.0 it scored last Monday to a 1.7 rating with 9.73 million viewers this week. Despite that, the singing-competition series still took the night’s no. 1 spot in the demo. Its lead-out, “The Enemy Within,” slipped from a 0.9 to a 0.8 as well, with the two shows managing to win the night for NBC in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.

Elsewhere, the midseason premiere of FOX’s “9-1-1” scored a 1.2, down from its fall finale’s 1.4 and tying its season low. “The Resident,” however, stayed even with its previous episode’s 0.9.

The CW’s “Arrow” similarly scored the same 0.3 it did last week, while the season finale of “Black Lightning” matched its penultimate episode’s 0.2. On CBS, “Man with a Plan” followed a “Big Bang Theory” rerun, and ticked up one-tenth to a 0.9. The same could not be said for “Bull” (0.7), which returned down a tenth.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings are available at approximately 11 a.m. ET the day after telecast. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.
Share (of Audience):
The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time.
Time Shifted Viewing:
Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include  viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
