The “Game of Thrones” season premiere on HBO seemed to have little-to-no effect on the Sunday night broadcast primetime ratings this week.
ABC’s “American Idol” was the night’s highest-rated broadcast in the adults 18-49 demo with a 1.3 rating, back up from its series low 1.0 a week ago. “Shark Tank” followed it with the same 0.8 as its previous episode.
Elsewhere, NBC’s “World of Dance” posted its third straight 0.7, while the recently-renewed “Good Girls” similarly held steady with another 0.6. On CBS, “60 Minutes” grabbed a 0.9 with 8.54 million viewers, matching its broadcast from the Sunday before and making it the night’s most-watched broadcast.
The season finale of “God Friended Me,” however, fell from its penultimate episode’s NCAA-boosted 1.1 to a 0.6, tying its season low in the 18-49 demo. “NCIS: Los Angeles” (0.7) also tied its season low rating, as did “Madam Secretary” (0.4).
Meanwhile, both the CW and FOX took the night off.

The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time.
Time Shifted Viewing: Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
