It was a nightly of mostly dips in the Sunday primetime ratings this week.
Following an “Ellen’s Game of Games” rerun (0.5), NBC’s “World of Dance” posted a 0.9 average rating in adults 18-49 with 3.48 million viewers, down just a tenth from its Sunday premiere last week. “Good Girls” capped off the night for NBC, and similarly fell a tenth in its second week, from its season premiere’s 0.7 to a series low 0.6.
Meanwhile, ABC led the night yet again, and won all 8 of the night’s half-hours in the adults 18-49 demo. “America’s Funniest Home Videos” kicked the night off with a 0.9, down two-tenths from its previous 1.1. “American Idol” reigned supreme as the night’s highest-rated broadcast for the second week in a row, despite falling four-tenths from its premiere’s 1.7 to a 1.3 this week – tying its lowest 18-49 rating since moving to ABC.
Last night’s “Idol” was also two-tenths below the 1.5 its Wednesday night broadcast had scored earlier in the week. “Shark Tank” also won its respective hour, but did slip from a 0.9 to a 0.8. CBS’ “60 Minutes” (0.8) and “God Friended Me” (0.6) each inched down a tenth as well, while the network’s broadcast of the “Aretha! A Grammy Celebration” tribute special grabbed a 0.7 with 5.40 million viewers.
Elsewhere, FOX’s “The Simpsons” (0.8) and “Bob’s Burgers” (0.8) both matched their episodes from a week ago. “Family Guy,” however, managed to climb up from a 0.8 to a 0.9 week-to-week.
It was a down night for the CW too, with “Supergirl” (0.3) falling a tenth to a new season low, and “Charmed” (0.2) ticking down from its 0.3 last Sunday, tying its previous low in the demo.
