Sunday night brought three series premieres to the broadcast networks, two of which put up decent-but-not-great ratings. The third struggled.

FOX’s “Ghosted” scored a 1.4 rating in adults 18-49, retaining all of its lead-in from “The Simpsons.” On CBS, “Wisdom of the Crowd” also scored a 1.4 (pending updates), in line with the 1.5 for “NCIS: Los Angeles” in the same timeslot last year.

The third premiere, ABC’s “Ten Days in the Valley,” managed just a 0.6. That’s the lowest rating for a series debut in the past week.

The news was better for ABC with “Shark Tank,” whose 1.3 rating on its new night was an improvement on the 1.1 for its Friday-night season premiere last year. “The Toy Box” opened to a 0.4, below its Season 1 average of 0.6.

“NCIS: LA” (1.2) was down 0.3 from its 2016 premiere and 0.1 from its 2016-17 average for CBS. At FOX, “The Simpsons” (1.4), “Family Guy” (1.3) and “The Last Man on Earth” (0.9) all matched their year-ago debuts, while “Bob’s Burgers” (1.3) is currently up a tenth vs. last year, pending updates. “Sunday Night Football’s” preliminary numbers (14.01 million viewers, 4.9 in adults 18-49) are off a bit vs. last week’s 14.54 million and 5.3.

Network averages:

Adults 18-49 rating/share 4.3/15 1.7/7 1.3/5 0.9/4

: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings are available at approximately 11 a.m. ET the day after telecast. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.
Share (of Audience):
The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time.
Time Shifted Viewing:
Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include  viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

La premiere di The Last Man on Earth fa 2.34 milioni e 0.9 di rating. Una domenica fiacca, con nessuno show che riesce davvero a prevalere. I vincitori di questi primi giorni di stagione e degli Ascolti TV USA, per ora, sono This Is Us, Will & Grace e The Good Doctor.
