It was a solid Sunday premiere night for the CW, starting with “Supergirl,” which scored a 0.5 rating in adults 18-49 – even with its premiere last year and its 2017-18 season average. At 9 p.m., the series premiere of the “Charmed” reboot retained 100% of its “Supergirl” lead-in with a 0.5 as well, and got off to a good start on the network.
Elsewhere, it was a mostly okay night for ABC, as “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” posted the same 0.7 its premiere did a week ago, and both “Shark Tank” (0.7) and “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (0.9) ticked up week-to-week. Rounding out the night for ABC, though, the series premiere of “The Alec Baldwin Show” got off to a poor start at 10 p.m. with a 0.4 and 2.17 million viewers, failing to match even the 0.5 that the “Ten Days in the Valley” premiere posted in the same time slot last year.
On CBS, pending updates, an NFL overrun resulted in “60 Minutes” scoring an inflated 1.9. “God Friended Me” followed it with a 1.1, up two-tenths from its 0.9 last Sunday, while “NCIS: Los Angeles” (0.9) similarly ticked up a tenth and “Madam Secretary” matched its season premiere’s 0.6.
FOX’s Sunday night lineup didn’t hold nearly as well, with “The Simpsons” (1.0), “Bob’s Burgers” (0.9), and “Family Guy” (0.8) all falling from both their NFL-boosted episodes last week and their season premiere numbers from two weeks ago. “REL,” meanwhile, continued to struggle in the ratings, falling two-tenths from its previous 0.7 to a 0.5.
NBC’s broadcast of the Patriots vs. Chiefs “Sunday Night Football” raked in an early 6.1 average, landing five-tenths higher than the 5.6 preliminary rating last week’s “SNF” broadcast had scored (it later adjusted up to a 6.0 in the finals).

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings are available at approximately 11 a.m. ET the day after telecast. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time.
Time Shifted Viewing: Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
