This week’s Sunday primetime ratings marked another low night for “Big Brother.”

The CBS reality-competition series was the night’s second-highest-rated broadcast with a 0.9 rating in adults 18-49 and 4.10 million viewers. Not only was “Big Brother” down a bit from the 1.2 and 4.64 million viewers it scored last Sunday, but it also tied its season low in the 18-49 demo that it set this past Thursday. It was CBS’ only original broadcast of the night.

Elsewhere, ABC’s annual “Fall Preview Special” kicked things off for the network with an OK 0.7 and 3.55 million viewers. Meanwhile, the network’s broadcast of the Houston vs. Oklahoma college football game posted a 1.5 average rating and 5.34 million viewers, easily taking the night’s no. 1 spot among adults 18-49. The football game, however, placed second in total viewers, behind only CBS’ “60 Minutes” rerun (6.05 million).

On FOX, the finale of “What Just Happened??! With Fred Savage” capped off a night of mostly reruns with a 0.2 and 615,000 viewers, on par with its overall season averages. The rest of the night’s broadcasts were all repeats.

Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.

Time Shifted Viewing:
 Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include  viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
