Even with this morning’s inflated ratings, due to NFL pre-emptions across the board, “Big Brother” looks to have returned to the no. 1 spot in the Thursday primetime ratings this week.

Pending updates, the CBS reality-competition series led the night’s primetime ratings with a 1.3 rating in adults 18-49 and 5.05 million viewers. That puts “Big Brother” up three-tenths from its 1.0 rating a week ago, though it will likely adjust down in the finals later today, as will most of the night’s other shows.

“Elementary” capped off the night for CBS, also up from its last episode’s 0.3 to an inflated 0.6. Meanwhile, FOX’s “MasterChef” came second in the night with a 1.2 rating and 4.88 million viewers, up from its 0.8 last Thursday. “Spin the Wheel” is similarly up from its previous 0.5 to a 1.0.

On ABC, “Holey Moley” (1.1), “Family Food Fight” (0.9), and “Reef Break” (0.7) are all up from their last outings as well, pending updates. Elsewhere, the CW’s “The Outpost” posted a preliminary 0.2, while the premiere of  “Two Sentence Horror Stories” is currently sitting at a 0.3.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings are available at approximately 11 a.m. ET the day after telecast. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.
Share (of Audience):
The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time.
Time Shifted Viewing:
Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include  viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
