After taking last week off for the July 4th holiday, ABC’s Thursday summer lineup returned with some small downticks in the primetime ratings this week.
“Holey Moley” kicked the night off for the network, winning the 8 p.m. hour with a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.95 million viewers – down from its last outing’s 0.9 rating. “Family Food Fight” (0.5) followed it, and was similarly down a tenth from its previous episode. “Reef Break” went the other way, ticking up from a 0.3 to a 0.4.
Elsewhere, CBS’ “Love Island” remained stable (and low), scoring a 0.6 for the third night in a row. “Big Brother,” meanwhile, held steady with its last episode, and won the night with a 1.0 rating and 3.99 million viewers. “Elementary” capped the night off with a 0.4, back up from the 0.2 it scored a week ago.
On FOX, both “MasterChef” (0.7) and “Spin the Wheel” (0.6) returned from their week off in steady fashion. The CW’s “iZombie” matched its last episode’s 0.2 as well, while “The Outpost” premiered its second season with a 0.1, steady with how its first season performed last year.
Rounding out the night, NBC’s “Hollywood Game Night” raked in a 0.5 with 2.65 million viewers, airing in between “The Wall” and “Law & Order: SVU” reruns.

Time Shifted Viewing: Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
