CBS’ “Big Brother” was easily the highest-rated broadcast Thursday night with a 1.7 rating in adults 18-49, not only up two-tenths from the 1.5 it had scored last Thursday, but also tying its previous season high. However, due to local NFL pre-emptions on the network, its possible that “Big Brother” could adjust down slightly in the finals later today.
Coming off a “Celebrity Family Feud” encore lead-in at the top of the night, the season finale of ABC’s “Match Game” posted a solid 0.8, marking a new season high for itself. Also on ABC, the “Take Two” (0.5) season finale had its best numbers in both adults 18-49 and total viewers (0.5, 2.94 million) since Aug. 9.
All of the night’s other broadcasts were reruns.
In the network race, “Big Brother” helped to secure CBS the no. 1 spot of the night with a 1.2 overall 18-49 rating and 5.63 million total viewers. ABC came second with a 0.7, while NBC (0.5) and FOX (0.5) tied for third and The CW (0.2) stayed in last place.
