This year’s MLB All-Star Game carried FOX to an easy primetime win Tuesday night, despite taking another ratings hit year-to-year.

Pending updates, FOX’s broadcast of the annual All-Star Game led the night with a 1.7 rating in adults 18-49 and 7.07 million viewers, down from the 2.1 rating and 8.67 million viewers that the 2018 game scored.

Elsewhere, CBS’ American adaptation of the British unscripted hit series, “Love Island,” got off to a lackluster start on the network, with its 90-minute premiere averaging a low 0.6 and 2.68 million viewers. At 10 p.m., “Blood & Treasure” slipped from a 0.4 to a series low 0.3.

NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” returned from a week off with a season low 1.4 – down from its last episode’s 1.6 – and 9.64 million viewers. The series premiere of “Bring the Funny” followed “Got Talent” with a strong 1.2 rating and 6.18 million viewers, making it the highest-rated premiere for a summer unscripted series since June 2017. It was also the most-watched debut of any summer TV series in two years.

On the CW, “The 100” posted a 0.2, even with its last outing, while ABC took the night off.

Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.

Time Shifted Viewing:
 Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include  viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
