“America’s Got Talent” remained the highest-rated Tuesday night primetime show, and experienced a significant uptick in the ratings from week-to-week.
The NBC reality competition series hit a 3-month high last night with a 2.2 rating in adults 18-49, not only up three-tenths from what it had scored last Tuesday, but also its best episode in the demo since early June. It was also, easily the most-watched broadcast of the night with 12.78 million viewers. The network’s “The Paley Center Salutes This is Us” special closed out the night with a 0.9.
It was a solid night for FOX as well, starting with the season finale of “Beat Shazam” scoring a 0.8, tying its season high in the demo. It was followed up by the season finale of “Love Connection,” which managed to tick up one-tenth from the 0.4 it had scored a week ago to a 0.5 this time around.
Elsewhere, the finale of ABC’s “Castaways” posted a 0.3 with 1.60 million viewers, even with both its previous episode and its season low. All of the night’s other broadcasts were reruns.
