“The Masked Singer” returned from a 2-week break, and scored another dominant demo win in the Wednesday primetime ratings this week.

Airing back-to-back episodes, the FOX reality-competition series won the night with a pair of 2.0 ratings in the adults 18-49 demo, and averaged 7.1 million viewers across the two episodes. That puts “The Masked Singer” down two-tenths from the 2.2 rating that its last Wednesday broadcast scored, and ties it with its current series low in the demo, but it still scored well above any of the night’s other broadcasts.

On CBS, “Survivor” ticked up a bit week-to-week, from its previous 1.2 to a 1.3, while “SEAL Team” (0.6) and “S.W.A.T.” (0.5) both matched their ratings from a week ago.

It was a mostly steady night for ABC too, as “The Goldbergs” (0.9), “Schooled” (0.7), “Single Parents” (0.6), and “Stumptown” (0.5) all stayed even with their last episodes. “Modern Family” suffered the network’s only downtick, slipping from its 1.0 last Wednesday to a 0.9 this time around. The CW’s “Riverdale” held steady as well, with another 0.2, while “Nancy Drew” ticked back up from a 0.1 to a 0.2.

Elsewhere, NBC’s “Chicago Med” (1.1) and “Chicago P.D.” (1.0) each ticked down a tenth from their last outings. “Chicago Fire” took a slightly worse hit, falling from its previous 1.2 to a 1.0. The three “Chicago” dramas still carried NBC to a narrow total viewers victory over the other networks, with “Med” raking in the night’s largest audience (8.03 million).

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings are available at approximately 11 a.m. ET the day after telecast. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.
Share (of Audience):
The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time.
Time Shifted Viewing:
Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
