“The Masked Singer” remained a dominant force in this week’s Wednesday primetime ratings.

The FOX reality-competition series led the night for the third week in a row, with the same 2.0 rating in adults 18-49 as its episode last Wednesday. “The Masked Singer’s” 6.92 million viewer audience was also the third-largest of the night. “Almost Family” followed it with a 0.8, up one-tenth from its series premiere’s 0.7 final rating last week.

On NBC, “Chicago Med” (1.1) and “Chicago P.D.” (1.0) both matched their ratings from a week ago. “Chicago Fire,” meanwhile, rose from its last outing’s 1.1 to a season high 1.2 rating this week, and raked in the night’s largest total audience (7.63 million viewers).

The CW’s “Riverdale” kicked off its fourth season with a 0.4 and 1.18 million viewers, down a tenth from its season premiere last fall, but steady with its third season’s overall 2018-19 averages. At 9 p.m., “Nancy Drew” got off to a pretty good start on the network, with its series premiere raking in a 0.3 and 1.17 million viewers. It maintained nearly all of “Riverdale’s” 1.18 million viewer audience, and lost just a tenth of its lead-in’s 0.4 rating.

Elsewhere, ABC’s “The Goldbergs” (1.0) and “Single Parents” (0.7) each maintained their ratings from a week ago, but the same could not be said for “Schooled” (0.7) and “Stumptown” (0.6), both of which fell a tenth week-to-week. “Modern Family” took the biggest hit of all the ABC shows though, ticking down from its previous 1.1 to a series low 0.9.

It was a similarly down night for CBS’ “Survivor” (1.1) and “S.W.A.T.” (0.5), as both shows fell a tenth from their last episodes. “SEAL Team,” however, stayed even with another 0.7.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings are available at approximately 11 a.m. ET the day after telecast. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.
Share (of Audience):
The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time.
Time Shifted Viewing:
Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
