Will canceled ABC soap operas One Life to Live and All My Children get a second life as online only shows?  According to a story in The New York Post by Claire Atkinson, the answer is “yes they will.”  The story says media company Prospect Park, run by a former Disney executive has bought the rights to the shows from ABC with plans to produce new episodes that pick up right where the old ones left off.

TV Line’s Matt Webb Mitovich’s sources tell him there are some “inaccuracies” in the Post’s story. Mitovich also wonders if this is really a great solution for fans of the show. “Only a fraction of soap opera viewers go online,” Mitovich writes,  “and that segment gets paper-thin when talking about longtime daytime fans age 60 and up.
