The Walking Dead is making waves with its Season 5 both on-air and online. The show was the most-searched TV series for October, according to Google Trends, taking back the No. 1 spot after a seven-month hiatus. The show also topped Nielsen’s Social TV Rankings for the last week of October.
American Horror Story: Freakshow was No. 2 on the Google rankings for October, jumping 13 spots from the previous month and displacing Sons of Anarchy, which fell one spot from to No. 3.
Saturday Night Live comes in fourth in the Trends list for October, moving up eight places from September. October shows featured hosts Sarah Silverman, Bill Hader and Jim Carrey and musical guests Maroon 5, Hozier and Iggy Azalea.
Moving up six spots since last month is the South Park; it rounded out the Top 5.
Last month’s most-searched show on television, Dancing with the Stars, dropped five places to come in sixth. Once Upon a Time, new entry Arrow and Trends perennials SpongeBob Squarepants and The Simpsons, which fell four places since last month, complete the Top 10.
