‘THE TONIGHT SHOW’ OUTDELIVERS ABC, CBS COMPETITION IN ALL KEY RATINGS MEASURES FOR WEEK OF MARCH 16-20

Fallon Bests Kimmel’s Telecasts From SXSW, as Well as Letterman

NEW YORK — March 26, 2015 — “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has prevailed for the late-night ratings week of March 16-20 in all key ratings measures versus “Late Show with David Letterman” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

For the week, Fallon averaged a 0.94 rating in adults 18-49, giving him a +54% margin over the 0.61 for “Kimmel” (which aired a week of telecasts from the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas) and a +92% advantage over the 0.49 for Letterman, which excluded Thursday and Friday results due to basketball overruns.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (0.42 in adults 18-49) outrated CBS’s encores of “Late Late Show” (0.29) in all key measures — adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers — while winning its head-to-head half-hour versus ABC’s “Nightline” from 12:30-1 a.m. in every key demographic.
