‘THE TONIGHT SHOW’ ENCORES OUTDELIVER CBS, ABC TIMESLOT COMPETITION FOR WEEK OF MARCH 9-13

Fallon Rebroadcasts Win the Week Versus Four New Episodes of Kimmel and All Letterman Originals in Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers

NEW YORK — March 19, 2015 — A week of encore telecasts of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has prevailed in both adults 18-49 and total viewers versus a week of originals of “Late Show with David Letterman” and a week of four first-run telecasts and one encore for “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

For the week of March 9-13, Fallon’s rebroadcasts averaged a 0.83 rating in adults 18-49, giving him a +24% margin over the 0.67 for “Kimmel” (which aired an encore on Friday and featured President Obama as a guest on Thursday’s original) and a +57% advantage over the 0.53 for Letterman, which aired first-runs throughout the week.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, a week of “Late Night with Seth Meyers” rebroadcasts (0.42 in adults 18-49) outrated CBS’s encores of “Late Late Show” (0.31) in all key measures — adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

Versus their most recent week of rebroadcasts, Jan. 26-30, Fallon was up +4% in adults 18-49 (with a 0.83 rating vs. a 0.80) and up +8% in total viewers (3.009 million vs. 2.780 million) and Meyers grew by +14% in 18-49 (0.42 vs. 0.37) and +13% in total viewers (1.369 million vs. 1.211 million).
