Viewers can expect to get a double dose of “America’s Got Talent” in the next year.
Ahead of their 2018-19 announcements Sunday, NBC has revealed that the popular competition series will be returning for a special “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” season this winter, in addition to the show’s upcoming thirteenth season, which is set to make its premiere later this month.
“The Champions” edition of the series will feature notable acts from previous seasons along with acts from some of the other global versions of “Got Talent” series returning to compete against each other. Bringing the best ‘Got Talent’ competitors together for this winter edition will have these favorites elevating their acts to awe and inspire audiences like never before.”
“I have always wanted to have a competition show for the very best of the best ‘Got Talent’ acts from around the world,” added Cowell. “The variety and the talents of the acts who enter ‘Got Talent’ globally are incredible and unbelievable. Since ‘America’s Got Talent’ was where it all started, I’m absolutely delighted to be launching this on NBC.”
