Two episodes into Season 2, HBO has picked up a third season of its comedy series “Ballers.”

Star and executive producer Dwayne Johnson posted the news on his Instagram Thursday morning, and HBO followed up with the official announcement shortly thereafter.

“Dwayne Johnson, [creator] Stephen Levinson, [EP] Mark Wahlberg and the rest of the ‘Ballers’ team have once again delivered a winner for our viewers,” HBO Programming president Casey Bloys says in a statement. “We look forward to another great season of ‘Ballers’ next year.”

The first two episodes of “Ballers” Season 2 have averaged a 0.7 same-day rating in adults 18-49 and 1.43 million viewers, down a bit from the Season 1 average of 0.8 and 1.7 million. In Live +3 ratings, the Season 2 premiere scored a 1.2 demo rating (up from 0.8) and 2.31 million viewers (from 1.59 million).
