Without any Thursday night football in its Fall lineup this year, CBS will be taking a staggered approach to its premieres in the upcoming season.

The network will kick off the new season with back-to-back episodes of “Big Bang Theory” and “Young Sheldon” Monday, Sept. 24. The comedy pair should act as a promising lead-in both for the new season lineup as a whole, and the series premiere of the rebooted “Magnum P.I.,” which will air immediately following “Sheldon.” The night will be rounded out by the return of “Bull,” making its Monday night debut with its season 3 premiere.

This will, hopefully, not only give “Magnum P.I.” a ratings boost with its premiere, but may even benefit new comedies, “The Neighborhood” and “Happy Together,” which will make their time period premieres the following Monday, Oct. 1.
