‘The Omen’ follow-up series, ‘Damien,’ has been canceled by A&E after one season, the network announced this afternoon.

Coming from former “Walking Dead” showrunner, Glen Mazzara, the thriller series picked up after the original horror film and followed the life of Damien Thorn, who has grown up unaware of the satanic forces surrounding him, until he is forced to come to terms with who he is, the Antichrist.

The series was subject to low ratings from the beginning, which continued throughout its entire ten-episode run, and makes this cancellation a little less surprising than some of the other more shocking ones this season.
