The first part of the 2015-16 season had its share of successes: “Blindspot” and “Chicago Med” have done well for NBC, “Empire” has lifted FOX and “Grey’s Anatomy” has continued to do yeoman’s work for ABC.
We’re not here to talk about any of that.
Listed below are the five lowest-rated and least-watched shows on each broadcast network in fall 2015 (CBS has six in the 18-49 list as there was a tie). There were 91 such shows* that aired in the fall, and something had to be last for each of them.
(*The list includes only first-run series in their regular time period, which premiered in the fall and aired at least three times. Ratings are “most current” — a combination of Live +7 and same-day for the most recent episodes.)
The low shows range from the truly underperforming (“Truth Be Told,” “Wicked City”) to CW shows that are probably safe (“The Originals”) to middle-of-the pack performers like CBS’ “Madam Secretary.” On a relatively healthy network like CBS, being in the Bottom 5 still can mean being in the top half of the overall rankings. And since The CW only has 10 shows, its Bottom 5 is half the network.
So without further ado, here are the lowest-rated shows on each network.
