The Hollywood adventures of Rick Moreweather and Miles Daly will continue for another season.

This afternoon, Epix has officially renewed “Get Shorty” for a third season. The news of which comes just over two months after the series finished off its second season in early October.

Based on the Elmore Leonard novel of the same name, “Get Shorty” follows a Nevada mobster who, for the sake of his daughter and with the help of a washed-up partner, attempts to change professions and become a movie producer. But despite hoping to leave the criminal world behind, he may just accidentally bring it with him to Hollywood.

The series stars Ray Romano, Chris O’Dowd, Carolyn Dodd, Goya Robles, Isaac Keys, Sean Bridgers, Lidia Porto, and more. Davey Holmes is expected to return as showrunner for the third season.

“Chris O’Dowd and Ray Romano have so thoroughly embraced their roles, and I know I speak for all fans of ‘Get Shorty’ when I say that we can’t wait for their escapades to unfold in season three,” said Epix President, Michael Wright. “The entire Epix team is looking forward to working again with Davey Holmes, Adam Arkin and the MGM Television team to continue ‘Get Shorty’s’ success.”

With this renewal, “Get Shorty” now joins “Deep State,” as a veteran title guaranteed to stay on Epix’s slate next season. There is still no word on whether “Berlin Station” will return for a fourth season or not.
