Riley Matthews is headed to high school on “Girl Meets World.”

Disney Channel has renewed its comedy for a third season, which will premiere in spring 2016, as first reported by The Wrap.

The third season will have Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and her best friend Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) entering high school, following a similar trajectory to that of Riley’s dad Cory (Ben Savage) in “Boy Meets World.”

The show has been a solid ratings performer for Disney, averaging about 3 million same-day viewers. It ranks among the Top 5 shows on cable in the Disney demographic targets of kids 2-11 and 9-14.

“Girl Meets World” joins these shows that have been renewed for 2016 and beyond.
