HBO and U2 have set a new date for a live concert special from Paris.
The special will air at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Monday, Dec. 7. It had been slated to air on Nov. 14, but the terrorist attacks the previous day forced a postponement of the show.
The special, “U2: iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Live in Paris,” will film live at the Accorhotels Arena in Paris on Dec. 7 and air the same day in the United States.
“So much that was taken from Paris on the tragic night of Nov. 13 is irreplaceable,” U2 frontman Bono says in a statement. “For one night, the killers took lives, took music, took peace of mind — but they couldn’t steal the spirit of that city. It’s a spirit our band knows well and will try to serve when we return for the postponed shows.”
The concert special will bump an HBO documentary, “Very Semi-Serious: A Partially Thorough Portrait of New Yorker Cartoonists,” from the schedule on Dec. 7. A new airdate for it hasn’t been set yet.
