In July, HBO ordered a second season of its comedy series “The Brink.” Three months later, HBO changed its mind.
Thus, no second season for “The Brink,” which had a moderately successful run over the summer. First-run airings drew a shade over a million viewers.
“After evaluating our schedule and our programming needs, we unfortunately decided we cannot give ‘The Brink’ the attention it deserves for a second season,” HBO says in a statement. “We are proud of the first season and wish everyone involved in this show the very best.”
The show starred Jack Black, Tim Robbins and Pablo Schreiber as three men caught up in different facets of a geopolitical crisis. It now goes on to the great TV beyond, along with these shows canceled or ending in 2015-16.
