The gates of “Hell’s Kitchen” will remain open for the foreseeable future at FOX.
The network announced Friday that it has picked up two additional seasons of the chef competition, where professional cooks compete for a job under the eye of Gordon Ramsay. The renewal will take the show through its 18th cycle.
Season 16 of the show premieres Sept. 23.
“Hell’s Kitchen” has been a reliable utility player for FOX recently, drawing passable numbers wherever the network decides to put it. The most recent cycle, which concluded in April, averaged a 1.1 same-day rating in adults 18-49 while dividing its time between Wednesday and Friday nights.
