“Life in Pieces” will keep on living, in pieces, at CBS.
The network has picked up a second season of the family comedy, which stars Betsy Brandt, Colin Hanks, Dan Bakkedahl, Zoe Lister-Jones, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Dianne Weist and James Brolin. It’s the first of CBS’ freshman series to get a renewal for 2016-17.
“Life in Pieces” was the top-rated new comedy of the 2015-16 season, drawing a 2.0 same-day rating in adults 18-49. It rose to a 2.7 in the Live +7 ratings and averaged 10.53 million Live +7 viewers.
The rest of the network’s first-year series remain in limbo for the moment, but decisions on all of them will likely be made in the next couple of days.
