FOX has picked up a pair of first-year dramas, “Rosewood” and “Lucifer,” for 2016-17.
Both shows have performed above FOX’s scripted average for the season (currently 1.34 in same-day adults 18-49). “Rosewood” has averaged a 1.4 same-day rating in the demo and “Lucifer” a 1.6.
“We knew we had something special with ‘Lucifer,’ from the engaging performances of Tom [Ellis, Lauren [German] and the rest of the charismatic cast, to Len Wiseman’s visually stunning look of the show … ” FOX Entertainment president David Madden says in a statement. “With ‘Rosewood,’ creator Todd Harthan has put a fresh, playful spin on the procedural format, infusing it with wit and warmth, while Morris [Chestnut], Jaina [Lee Ortiz] and the show’s gifted supporting cast have turned in fantastic performances. We look forward to two standout sophomore seasons from both series.”
“Rosewood” and “Lucifer” are the ninth and 10th shows FOX has picked up for 2016-17. They join this list of shows returning for next season and beyond.
