CBS will be keeping Matt LeBlanc around for another year.
The network has officially renewed the LeBlanc-led “Man with a Plan” for a fourth season this afternoon. The announcement comes just a few days after the comedy series wrapped up its third season earlier this week, and just one day after the network also handed out renewals for “MacGyver, “Hawaii Five-O,” “Bull,” “Madam Secretary,” “SEAL Team,” and “S.W.A.T.”.
Created by Jackie Filgo and Jeff Filgo, “Man with a Plan” follows a married father (LeBlanc), who finds out that parenting is harder than he thought after his wife goes back to work and he’s left at home to take care of the kids. In addition to LeBlanc, the series also stars Liza Snyder, Matt Cook, Grace Kaufman, Kevin Nealon, Matthew McCann, Hala Finley, and more.
One of CBS’ more consistent ratings performers this spring, “Man with a Plan” averaged a solid 0.87 L+SD rating in the adults 18-49 demo throughout its third season, down just slightly from its previous season’s 0.99 average.
Meanwhile, CBS still has yet to announce any renewal decisions for “Life in Pieces,” “Fam,” “Ransom,” “The Code,” “Murphy Brown,” and “Happy Together.” Stay tuned for updates as more of the network’s decisions are announced over the next few days.
