NBC has laid out a pretty heavy summer release schedule that will have as much as 9 1/2 hours of original programming per week at its peak. A dozen original shows will air during the summer.
The lineup includes mainstays like “America’s Got Talent” and “American Ninja Warrior,” returning scripted shows “The Night Shift” and “The Carmichael Show” and newcomers including competition show “World of Dance” (with Jennifer Lopez as a judge and executive producer) and scripted series “Midnight, Texas” and “Marlon.” Game shows “The Wall” and “Hollywood Game Night” also return.
