ABC has picked up “Once Upon a Time” for a sixth season, co-creator Adam Horowitz announced on Twitter Thursday. The network has also picked up a fourth season of “The Goldbergs,” Season 3 of “Fresh Off the Boat” and Season 2 of “Quantico.”

“Once Upon a Time,” which returns from a three-month break on Sunday, remains ABC’s Sunday anchor, though its numbers are down a good amount season to season following last year’s “Frozen” boost.

“The Goldbergs” has fit seamlessly into the network’s Wednesday comedy block, and “FOTB” has held its own on one of ABC’s weaker nights. “Quantico” — which is also back from a long break on Sunday — has given ABC a bit of an upgrade on Sundays (and is among the season’s biggest shows in delayed viewing).

The pickups are the first renewals ABC has made for 2016-17; the network typically waits until just before the May upfronts to announce most of its renewals.

The ABC series join these shows that have been renewed for next season and beyond.
