About 13 hours ahead of the unveiling of its 2018-19 schedule, NBC has locked one more piece of it into place: “The Blacklist” will return for a sixth season.

NBC made the renewal announcement late Saturday. There’s no word yet on either “Law & Order True Crime” or “Timeless,” the network’s only other dramas still in limbo.( Both “Timeless” and “The Blacklist,” incidentally, are produced by Sony.)

NBCUniversal has had a partial ownership stake in “The Blacklist” throughout its life, but Sony owned the majority of the show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, that’s changing: The two companies will now each own half of the show. That probably helped its chances of earning a pickup.

“The Blacklist” averages a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 and about 5.7 million viewers the night it airs, improving to 1.7 and 8.82 million with seven days of delayed viewing. Its ratings have been fairly stable year to year, falling only a few hundredths of a point.

The show joins these series that have been renewed for 2018-19 and beyond.
