The CW is giving its final new show of the season, “Containment,” a bit of prime real estate in the spring.

The show about people affected by a virus outbreak in Atlanta will premiere at 9 p.m. ET/PT Tuesday, April 19 after “The Flash.” The current occupant of that timeslot, “iZombie,” will conclude its season a week earlier, on April 12.

The CW has also set a return date for “Reign” and a premiere for the final season of “Beauty and the Beast.”

“Reign” will rejoin the schedule at 8 p.m. Monday, April 25, taking over for “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” which ends its season April 18. “Beauty and the Beast” debuts at 9 p.m. Thursday, June 2.

All three shows will run well into the summer. Along with the presumed return of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” and some other unscripted shows, they’ll give The CW a healthy amount of original programming in the summer months.
