TBS has decided to continue taking “The Detour” into a second season.

Although the cable channel’s comedy doesn’t officially premiere until April 11, “The Detour” has been renewed for a second season. TBS aired preview telecasts of the show after its NCAA Tournament coverage, and the first episode is also online at TBS.com, “The Detour” Facebook page and on YouTube.

“I’m very excited to be going back to making my favorite show not yet on TV and look forward to making outrageous demands in my rider for the second season,” co-creator and star Jason Jones says in a statement.

Jones and Natalie Zea star in “The Detour” as parents whose plan for a family vacation goes wrong at every turn. Jones created the show with his wife and fellow “Daily Show” veteran Samantha Bee.

It’s been a good week for Jones and Bee. On Monday, TBS ordered 26 more episodes of Bee’s weekly show “Full Frontal.”

“The Detour” joins these shows that have been renewed for 2016-17 and beyond.
