That super-secret Marvel series from director Bryan Singer has finally been revealed.

FOX has officially announced that “The Gifted” will be one of their new shows premiering in their growing 2017-18 lineup. Most of the show’s secrets are still being kept under wraps, though, it has been revealed that “The Gifted” focuses on a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

The series cast includes Stephen Moyer as Reed Strucker, Amy Acker as Caitlin Strucker, Sean Teale as Eclipse Marcos Diaz, Jamie Chung as Blink / Clarice Fong, Coby Bell as Jace Turner, Emma Dumont as Polaris / Lorna Dane, Blair Redford as Thunderbird / John Proudstar, Natalie Alyn Lind as Lauren Strucker, and Percy Hynes White as Andy Strucker. Some of those names will, of course, be familiar to diehard X-Men and Marvel fans out there as well.

Matt Nix is the writer and executive producer, with Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory all also serving as executive producers on the series. In addition, Bryan Singer is billed as the director and EP on “The Gifted.” It is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television in association with Marvel Television.

Make sure to keep checking back for more updates from FOX and all the other major networks in the coming days, as the rest of their new pickups, renewals, and cancellations are announced.
